When it comes to street style, us Brits knock it out of the park. And with fresh new labels like Ginge London cropping up to satisfy our street wear needs, it’s no wonder our fashion credentials are unparalleled.

Set up by redhead Charlotte Knight in 2012, Ginge London has gone from strength to strength, with the hat designs sitting pretty on a number of high profile heads; fans of the brand include Little Mix, Misha B and the dance crew Diversity, amongst many others. Snapbacks, beanies and bucket hats, as well as a range of branded tees and sweatshirts showcase a brand that have their customer pinned down – cool, young girls and boys who prefer edgier clothing brands to the over-saturated high street labels donned by the majority.

What started as a personal project for Knight making snapbacks for herself at home, ballooned into a business when she was stopped so often by people asking where her hats were from. “Ginge London is for those who enjoy being different and unique,” Knight tells Essex Central Magazine. “Although my brand is unisex, I wanted females to be able to wear snapbacks that weren’t all sports related.”

Our favourites include the Demi Strapback – a half studded snapback with a bright leopard print underside, and the Camouflage Strapback – on-trend camo print hat, topped with a luxe black gator skin peak.

With Instragram flooded with pictures of happy Ginge London converts, and celebs chomping at the bit to grab hold of a beanie or two, it’s not hard to tell that this is the street wear label to watch – you heard it here first.
